Antique Dining Table Trays – What Types Are Available?

Antique Decorative Bone Inlay Tray is art Deco themed decorative trays. This is one of the most unique types of trays that I have personally seen. The Antique Decorative Tray has an Art Deco inspired style. This antique decorative tray or Vide-Poche is unsigned but assumed to have been produced in Austria sometime during the 1920’s in an Art Deco type style. The Antique Decorative Tray has two well-crafted and intricately carved, and highly painted elephants that are mounted on an exquisite rough cut, deep green onyx base with a small shallow cavity for placing small objects. The large base is decorated with gold-leaf effects that resemble modern day gold leaf stencils.

The wooden base is covered in intricate floral designs and the underside is brightly colored. The heavy base is made of stained wood, and the large top contains many smaller holes that allow for the placement of objects such as keys or coins. The wooden top edge also has small ridges that allow the contents of the tray to fall through the holes in the top edge. The large round holes at the bottom of the Antique Decorative Tray add to its charm as the contents can fall through to the bottom of the tray.

The base of the Antique Decorative Tray is carefully carved and features intricate details. The base is solid mahogany with three tiny holes that allow the contents of the Antique Decorative Tray to fall through to the bottom of the tray. The top edge of the Decorative Tray is also very decorative with large round holes in it, which allows the contents of the Antique Decorative Tray to fall through easily. The front face of the Antique Decorative Tray has a design of a winged lion that is highly detailed. The lion’s body is intricately carved from the mahogany base and then finished with a polished black lacquer. The three large pointed wings are shaped like the wings of a plane while the tail has a pointed tip similar to that of a bird’s beak.

Another very interesting design of the Antique Decorative Trays is the Double Caged Trays. This design of the Antique Decorative Tray has two different cell sizes that are removable. The first cell size is about twice as wide as the second cell size. These two cells of the Antique Decorative Tray are each about half the width of the tray itself. There are beautiful hand painted designs on the outside of each cell. One of the two larger cell sizes can be opened and decorated whereas the other smaller cell can be kept inside where it stays locked.

Most of the Antique Decorative Trays feature glass fronts that are colored glass. Some of these glass fronts have a frosted look to them which gives them a beautiful antique appearance. Some of the glass-fronted decorative trays even feature etched designs etched right into them. You can add any type of decal to the glass front of the tray that you desire, whether it is a picture flower or symbol of anything else.

As you can see, there are many different decorative trays to choose from. No matter what you want your Antique Dining table or Antique Decorative Tray to say, it can be created for you by using one of the many wonderful pieces that are now available. All it takes is a little time and imagination to come up with some of your own ideas. Once you do, you will have something that not only looks wonderful in your home but also says a bit of elegance and class that no one can forget.
